Location

Trevedran is situated half way between Lamorna Cove and Porthcurno, near the top of a small, beautiful, wooded valley (reputedly one of the warmest in the UK) on the south west coast of Cornwall. It is only fifteen minutes drive from Penzance, where you can take a boat or helicopter trip to the Isles of Scilly. There are plenty of shops supplying all you need, art galleries and tropical gardens, buses and trains to take you further afield, and pubs and restaurants galore. There are also numerous beaches within easy reach.

For the walkers, the path through the woods takes you to St Loy Cove, and from there the south west coast path to the east takes you to Lamorna, a popular place for scuba diving, and Mousehole, with its delightful harbour, as well as restaurants, pubs and artists studios. To the west lies Penberth, still as it always was with the  "toshers" (small fishing boats) and further on Porthcurno with its glorious beach. Here you will also find the Telegraph Museum and the famous Minack Theatre, perched on the cliffs, where, during the summer months, to watch an afternoon or evening performance is a memorable experience.

Sennen Cove (about ten minutes by car)  is a beautiful sandy  beach (popular for surfing) with a choice of  pub (some outdoor tables) or restaurant (indoor and outdoor tables) for wining and dining whilst enjoying the stunning view.

St Ives, with its numerous lovely sandy beaches, art galleries and cobbled streets, is a lively tourist destination and is only 30 minutes drive away. Here you will also find restaurants with views and good food. Also well worth a visit is Marazion, again about 30 minutes drive. It has a gently sloping beach, ideal for windsurfing and (at low tide) you can walk across or take the boat trip to St Michaels Mount.

Lands End, and in particular the coastal footpath either side, is not to be missed, with frequent sitings of seals, dolphins and basking sharks.

There are so many places to visit in the vicinity, indeed you may never want to leave the peninsular. At Trevedran you can get away from it all without being bored or isolated.
